Computer Science · Alicante, Spain

Retired Associate Professor at the University of Alicante. I was part of the Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, where I taught undergraduate and master’s courses in Computer Science such as Programming Languages and Paradigms, Agile Software Development Methodologies, and Mobile Platform Services (iOS). My doctoral thesis (1999) focused on indoor navigation for a mobile robot using ultrasonic sensors.

I am interested in artificial intelligence, especially large language models (LLMs) and their recent evolution (training, post-training, evaluation, and their use as components in more complex systems). I am also interested in reinforcement learning and robotics.

I also develop software as a personal interest (often in the Apple ecosystem, using Swift) and maintain open projects on GitHub focused on small, reusable tools. In my newsletter I write about ideas and readings on AI, technology, and science, trying to add context and detail beyond the headline.
