Release notes for version 1.3.6 on GitHub
What's New in Version 1.3.6
New in this release: better menu bar stability
ClipTimer now avoids unnecessary menu bar refreshes while a task is running, improving stability when switching between apps or when the menu bar is under pressure.
- More localized live timer updates
Live elapsed time now refreshes only where it is needed in the main window instead of invalidating the whole interface every second.
- Stable visual state in the menu bar
The menu bar still shows whether a task is active, but without continuously redrawing the title.
- Minor fixes and improvements
Internal adjustments keep time tracking reliable without triggering unnecessary UI churn.
What's New in Version 1.3.5
🧮 New: Time arithmetic in the Task Editor
Enter expressions like 4:29:32 - 2:09:00 + 45 and ClipTimer will calculate the total for you.
- Task Editor window positioning
The editor now opens aligned next to the main window for faster side-by-side edits.
- Timers keep updating in menus
Timer updates now run in the common run loop, so menu bar timers keep ticking even while menus are open.
- Localization improvements
Added Simplified Chinese and refined Spanish/localization handling across the app.
- App Store language metadata
English App Store localization added for clearer store presentation.
